In 1991 Telecom Singapore held a international
design competition for a new
290 m high telecom tower.
A design was developed in cooperation
with the architect F. Grimm.

• Shaft as 5 m thick reinforced concrete
  pipe column
• External carbon cable bracings
• Two operating floor levels
• Glazed external elevators

This design became one of the three
competition finalists. A final decision
was not reached due to the cancellation
of the whole project.
