The executed design of the 130 m high
aerial tower Schöppingen has a solid
floor, three aerial platforms and a separate
top mast.

  • Reinforced concrete foundation as a
    2.8 m thick circular panel with a 16 m
    diameter
  • A tapering reinforced concrete shaft
with a diameter ranging from 7.5 m to
3.8 m and wall thickness of 45 cm
  • Operations floor level made of two
    annular tensioned prestressed concrete
    slabs
  • Aerial platforms made of steel truss
    girders
  • Structural analysis of the tower shaft
    with deflection theory, taking into
    consideration the tension stiffening
    effect of the concrete
