"Wasserstadtbrücke Spandau" – Bridge over the river Havel – Berlin, Germany
This special bid design for the "Nordbrücke" was based on the tender design from the architect "Dörr, Ludolf, Wimmer" in cooperation with the engineer Herbert Fink. The design was a result of a combined Architectural/Engineering competition.
KRONE Ingenieurbüro GmbH optimized the design for a special tender bid at the following points:
Alteration of the superstructure to steel box girder
Use of "S 355" steel
Distance of trapeze stiffener
Bracing design for bridge deck cantilever
Structural Analysis for the final design including construction staging
Analysis and design for the superstructure installa- tion via floating
Dynamic analysis for heavy vehicles due to cantilevering bridge side decks
