This building complex, mainly constructed in the 1930s, is situ-ated in the "Wilhelmstraße" in Berlin, Germany. It was used as the Department of Propaganda in the Third Reich and later became the Department of Foreign Affairs of East Germany. It was recently converted for its use to accommodate the Department of Employment and Social Security.

This building had a range of different structures, was partly dilapidated and required extensive investigation on the existing structures. As result, the design and planning documents needed to be adjusted in accordance with the findings.

  • Partial removal of the building core
  • Construction of new staircases
  • Demolition of part of the heritage building "Kleist- haus"
  • Construction of a new connection building with glass roofing
