The engineering consulting firm Ingenieurbüro KRONE was founded in 1997 by Dipl.-Ing. Martin Krone who worked from 1980 to 1997 for the engineering consulting firm Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner (LAP) in all areas of higher profile structural engineering. In 1992 Martin Krone was assigned to set up the LAP Berlin office. This office developed very successfully and finally led to the establishment of an independent engineering firm.

KRONE - Consulting Engineers currently has 30 employees and covers the whole range of higher profile structural engineering including buildings, bridges, civil structures, special institutes and laboratory buildings, filigree glass-steel structures, special trade fair stands and temporary structures.

KRONE aims to find the best structural solutions by selecting appropriate building materials and the using the latest technologies.

For the conversion of heritage protected buildings, KRONE develops heritage compatible solutions which take the history of the building and its proposed usage into account.

In the area of civil structures, bridges and special civil engineering, KRONE often develops special bid designs and designs for additional tender offers to contractors. KRONE also provides engineering consultancy services to the contractors through the use of their specialist knowledge.

Martin Krone is a certified Proof Check Engineer for the Berlin Building Authorities, a chartered engineer at the ‘Baukammer Berlin’ and a qualified welding engineer. He is recognised as a Proof Check Engineer by the German Railway Authority and the Roads and Traffic Authority.

The consulting engineering firm ‘KRONE and Partner’ provides fire engineering services. These services include fire prevention design, persona and asset protection, fire engineering planning and appraisals, as well as formal reports and certificates.
